FAR FROM PERFECT

Far from perfect:
flawed, fragile
and fantastical.
Man to legend,
fact to myth,
a true face still shines.
A man, like all
who fail and win;
make mistakes,
break hearts
and cause great hurts.
The flip is doing
great things,
making the effort
no to repeat,
to make it up, to repay.
Was scared
and scarred
like everyone else,
only human
after all.
Pretty and misread words,
the key,
belief and conviction
- the will to try.
Strength, determination
and soul:
that which stands out, stands up,
that which marked him.
Like everyman
he tried and failed,
tried and won;
As every legend
he did and fell.
Far from perfect,
and close to ordinary
that, makes him
shine on.
